We drove from Waitomo to Auckland on our last full day on our vacation.  It was another 2.5 hour drive.  By the time we got to Auckland City Oaks, we were exhausted.  We weren’t planning on doing a lot of sight-seeing, so we ended up just eating and napping!  (Those snacks shown above are delicious! We had gotten a bag in Waitomo…and had to get another in Auckland. :))

Found a sushi train restaurant.

The apartment:

With a kitchen and washer/dryer!  Time to wash all of our clothes!

Dinner time!  Steaks again!  NZ food is so cheap and so good, why not get a couple of steaks and dessert?

Our one sight-seeing attraction:

Our whirlwind tour of NZ’s North Island has come to a close, and with it, our two week Australian/New Zealand adventure.  This was the longest Will and I had been on vacation together.  Only had a couple of disagreements and overall we had an awesome journey to the place we’ve always wanted to go to.  Thank you, Will, for being a patient and encouraging travel partner, watching out for me, challenging me to try/do new things, and trusting me to do the planning.  🙂  Thanks be to God who kept us safe, provided for us financially and physically, and created the world, filling it with a variety of people and cultures.
